Green Metropolis by David Owen
Green Metropolis by David Owen
Green Metropolis is a book about being green, conserving energy, and saving the planet -- but from an angle you would hardly expect. Abandoning pre-conceived notions about cities and their impact on the world at large, author David Owen explores what it is about dense cities -- specifically Manhattan -- that makes them so inherently efficient. This book was an intriguing, contrarians take on environmentalism that left me with a freshly invigorated interest in the subject matter. Must-read literature for the aspiring environmentalist.
