We’ve all read Shel Silverstein’s “The Giving Tree,” about the kind-hearted boy and his favorite tree. This is NOT that story! We start with a mean-spirited kid who spends his growing years causing his tree misery. Abusing and demoralizing it without conscience, all the way to adulthood, but ending with grand poetic justice!! Not-so-subtle digs at society and politics make this a HILARIOUS contrast to the well-loved classic!
