This is a wonderful retelling of the historical story of Juana of Castile, who would come to be known as Juana the Mad.  She marries Philippe the Handsome in what seems to her to be a dream come true.  How does she go from fairy tale to insane princess locked in a tower room?  Lynn Cullen brings these historical figures to life with rich personalities and makes you feel there joy and pain.  Historical fiction at its best!
