The world is in big trouble and Olympus, Inc., the immortal-staffed organization that oversees it, is in corporate crisis! But structureling Ralph,who supports a failing raised highway (Seattle’s Alaskan Way Viaduct), is suffering severe job burn-out. If he fails at his job, thousands of human lives could be lost!

Veronica chooses Ralph and another Seattle-based structureling, Clifford (reinforcing the Space Needle), as subjects for her demonstration. But the project must be executed in secret as Zeus will not tolerate interference with his inventions! When Ralph refuses to volunteer for her demonstration, Veronica digs into his tarnished past to find the appropriate motivation. . .
