Review: This gut wrenching story set in the sweeping plains of North Dakota tells a multi-generational narrative surrounding the murder of a farm family and how it affects the white and Ojibwe communities. A coming of age story with elements of mystery and history are all wrapped up in Erdrich's gorgeous prose.
